The OneAID Community and Network

Connecting people, partners, and purpose

Our Work Anchored in 3 Pillars

Supporting Our People And community

Educating Americans on the need for U.S. foreign assistance

Informing citizen engagement for a vibrant democracy

The OneAID Community and Network are how we carry out our mission. Our Community includes over 3,000 members organized into 33 groups across 40 states.

In addition to our OneAID Community members, we collaborate with over a dozen grassroots groups and established organizations throughout the OneAID network that align with or are in support of one or more of our three pillars.

Who Makes Up the OneAID Community + Network?

The OneAID Community and Network are made up of individuals, state-based groups, and partner organizations who share a commitment to sustaining principled U.S. foreign assistance and supporting the people behind it. From former USAID staff to grassroots leaders, our community and network connect thousands of professionals across 40 states to grassroots groups and established organizations, enabling community, coordination, and action beyond Washington, D.C.

Our State and Regional Signal Groups are the heart of local engagement. These semi-autonomous, volunteer-led groups offer space for professionals of all levels to connect, exchange ideas, and stay informed. Members collaborate to share resources, organize events, engage with lawmakers, and educate the public on the value of foreign assistance—all while creating a local support network.

Alongside these state-based communities, we partner with more than a dozen organizations—ranging from grassroots collectives to legacy institutions—who bring expertise, tools, and strategies to help our community adapt, mobilize, and thrive. Together, we’re building a strong, resilient ecosystem rooted in shared purpose.

Join a State or Regional Group

U.S. foreign assistance professionals are now dispersed beyond Washington, D.C., requiring a decentralized strategy to encourage community and provide support closer to home. Our state and regional groups serve as critical entry points for local engagement. They serve as a home base for professionals of every level from the foreign assistance community to network and share strategies for what comes next.

Each group is vetted and shares resources for community members, information on upcoming events and training, and works to educate Americans on the benefits of foreign assistance, including through engagement with lawmakers, publishing op-eds in local papers, and participating in town halls. These groups are decentralized and semi-autonomous, run by volunteers in each state who rely on OneAID for information, resources, and strategic guidance.
