Career Pathways Webinar: FedSupport x OneAID x FedsForward
Expert Insights and Guidance for Successful Career Transitions
On October 8, FedSupport, in partnership with FedsForward and OneAID, hosted a two-part event designed to support the broader international assistance community during a time of unprecedented challenge and professional uncertainty. Open to anyone impacted by recent cuts in the international sector, including those formerly in government, NGOs, and implementing partners, the session offered guidance, connection, and practical tools for navigating career transitions.
The panel brought together voices from OneAID’s community and beyond to share candid career insights, myth-busting advice, and strategies for translating international service into meaningful opportunities across domestic and private sectors. Topics included how to make skills resonate across industries, examples of successful career pivots, and approaches to temporary, contract, and volunteer work as part of a broader professional journey.
Immediately following the discussion, participants joined a resume workshop with experts focused on translating international experience into sector-agnostic language, strengthening resumes, and navigating today’s evolving job market.
